Safety Committee

The duties of the safety committee shall be as follows:

1.)     To receive complaints regarding existing unsafe or hazardous conditions at places or facilities open to the public in the town and to refer such complaints, where appropriate, to the proper agency having jurisdiction in the particular matter.

2.)     To work with other town agencies and/or commissions or with private, civic, business and other organizations and groups in presenting educational programs for the specific purpose of promoting public safety and accident prevention.

3.)     To carry out such projects and to study such problems of public safety and accident prevention which may be specifically assigned to it by appropriate resolution by the town council.  (Ord. of 3-12-84)
