Death Certificate Information
DEATH CERTIFICATES

Glastonbury’s Death records date back to 1693. Per state statute, all Death records are open to the public prior to July 1, 1997.  From July 1, 1997, the records are available without the social security number, unless you are a qualified party by law.  Certified copies of death certificates are $10.00 per copy.
Death certificates are available from the Town Clerk’s office for anyone who died in Glastonbury, or who died outside of Glastonbury (but within Connecticut) and were residents of Glastonbury at the time of their death.
