Glastonbury Probate Court is continuing its tradition of dealing with a variety of matters on behalf of our community. In addition to decedents' estates, the Court handles consevatorships, children's matters, including guardianship, temporary custody, termination of parental rights, guardianships of the estate of a minor, compromise of claims, adoption, emancipation, commitment of mentally ill; commitment of persons who are drug and/or alcohol-dependent; matters involving persons with mental retardation; trusts; marriage waivers; name changes; custody of the remains; and
passport services.
Passports
Passport Applications are processed Monday through Friday, 12:00 - 4:00 and Tuesday evenings until 6:30.
Passport Applications and Renewal forms can be obtained from the website at http://travel.state.gov, in the lobby of Glastonbury Town Hall, or the Glastonbury Probate Court.
Passport fees - Payable in two checks are;
Age 16 and Over
U.S. Department of State: $ 75.00
Glastonbury Probate Court: $ 25.00 Total: $ 100.00
Under 16
U.S. Department of State: $ 60.00
Glastonbury Probate Court: $ 25.00 Total: $ 85.00
The normal processing time is 4 - 6 weeks. Passports can be expedited for an additional fee of $60.00 to expidite and $32.50 for postage for a total of $92.50.
