Glass Food and Beverage Containers |
Clear, brown and green food and beverage containers only. Up to one (1) gallon in size. Soda, liquor, wine and juice bottles, mayonnaise and jelly jars. |

No window glass, light bulbs, mirrors, ceramics, tile, clay pots, crystal, Pyrex, drinking glasses, gravel, procelain or auto glass. They can ruin the glass making furnace. |
Metal Food and Beverage Containers |
Metal food and beverage containers - up to one (1) gallon in size. Soup cans, vegetable and fruit cans, pet food cans. |
Rinse the cans clean. Labels can stay. After rinsing the lids, tuck them back into the used can. Do not crush cans. |
No spray cans, syringes, coat hangers, small appliances, pots or pans, or propane gas cylinders. |
Aluminum |
Aluminum used beverage |
Rinse cans clean. Do not crush aluminum. |
Note: Returnable deposit containers should be returned to source of purchase. |
Aseptic Packaging |
Gable shaped, plastic coated paper containers. Milk and juice cartons, juice boxes. |
Rinse containers clean. Remove straws from juice boxes and discard. Do not crush. |

Aluminum Foil |
Food wraps and containers. Semi-rigid food foil containers like TV dinner plates and pie tins; foil food wraps like Reynolds or Alcoa. |
Rinse foil clean, leaving no other materials. |

Plastic |
Plastic polyethylene terephthalate (PET) containers. Up to three (3) |
Check for the recycling number code "1" and the word "PET" or "PETE" on the bottom of plastic containers. Remove caps and lids and discard in the garbage, unless coded 1 or 2. Rinse the plastic container clean. Lables and neck rings need not be removed. |

Plastic High density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles. Up to one (1) gal in size. Any bottle with this recycling symbol and number code on the bottom. Plastic milk and juice jugs, colored laundry and dish detergent bottles or other personal care products. |
Check for the recycling number code "2" and the word "HDPE" on the bottom of the bottle. Remove caps and lids and discard in the garbage, unless coded 1 or 2. Rinse the plastic container clean. Labels and neck rings need not be removed. Do not crush. |

Newspapers |
Unsoiled newspapers, including all parts of the newspaper as delivered. All daily and weekly newspapers including Sunday editions; advertising mailers printed on newsprint. |
Tie stacks of newspaper with string or bundle in brown paper grocery bags. Newspapers may not be soiled, or wet with any liquid substance except rainwater. |

Corrugated |
All corrugated cardboard (wavy middle ) materials, uncoated (no wax coating). Kraft paper shipping boxes in all sizes. |
Only clean corrugated cardboard - may not be soiled or wet with any liquid substance except rainwater. Flatten boxes. Stack large quantities neatly and tie with string or rope. Remove as much as possible, adhesive materials, lables, metal staples, packing material, and any other materials placed on or in the corrugated cardboard product during use. |
No white, grey or colored cardboard products such as cardboard packaging; for example shirt cardboards. No pizza boxes, cereal boxes, and convenience food boxes. No wax-coated Kraft corrugated cardboard products such as food shipping boxes. |
Magazines |
Magazines, office paper, junk mail and clean cereal, pasta, kleenex and like boxes. |

Scrap Metal |
Items made primarily of metal. Appliances, storm door frames, railings, pipes, etc. |
Remove wood, concrete and other foreign material. Rust is not a problem. Maximum dimensions 2 1/2 ' X 4' X 6'. Refrigerator and freezers - must remove doors. |

Anti-freeze |
Anti-freeze - removed from motor vehicles. Ethylene glycol, used in cars, trucks, etc. |
Drain and store in sealed containers. Five (5) gallon maximum per visit. |
Do not contaminate with oils, gasoline, fuels, or hazardous liquids. |
Waste Motor Oil |
Waste motor oil- crankcase oil removed from internal combustion engines. From cars and trucks etc. |
Drain carefully and store in clean, sealed container. Five (5) gallons maximum per visit. |
Do not contaminate oil with gasoline, fuels, anti-freeze, water soluble oils or other hazardous liquids. |
Batteries |
Storage batteries, lead acid (auto) type. Batteries from cars, trucks, boats, farm equipment, etc. |
Keep and transport in upright position. Old batteries may be returned to supplier for deposit when purchasing a new battery. |
Caution: Batteries have bases with acids -no smoking or open flames. Never put a vehicle battery into the trash. |
Leaves |

Must be removed from plastic bags at the disposal facility. Materials may be composted at home or taken to the disposal facility. |

Tires |
